There is no universal answer to how often to refill villa water tank Dubai properties need, because it depends entirely on your tank size and your household’s actual consumption. But it is a calculation, not a guess — and once you have done it you never run dry again.

Measuring your tank
Length × width × depth in metres, multiplied by roughly 220, gives approximate Imperial gallons. A common villa tank of 3m × 2m × 1.5m holds around 1,980 gallons.
Use usable depth rather than full depth. Most tanks have a suction level below which the pump loses prime, so the last few centimetres are not really available to you.
How often to refill villa water tank Dubai homes really need
The most reliable method needs no estimating at all. Note the date of a full delivery, then note the date the tank next runs low. That gap is your interval, measured on your actual household rather than an average.
DEWA design guidance expects residential storage sufficient for at least 24 hours of demand, and labour accommodation and high-consumption premises to hold 48 hours. Those are minimums for design, not targets for reordering.
Why summer changes the interval
Between June and September consumption rises sharply for any property with outdoor space. Garden irrigation and pool evaporation are the two big drivers, and together they can halve a household’s interval.
DEWA recommends covering pools to reduce evaporation and watering before 8am or after 6pm to cut irrigation losses — both genuinely reduce how much tanker water you buy.

Order at a quarter, not empty
Ordering when roughly a quarter remains gives you two things: a buffer if no tanker is immediately free, and protection for the pump, which can be damaged by running dry.
It is also cheaper. A planned delivery is priced against a normal slot; an urgent one is priced against whatever is available at that moment.
Setting up a standing delivery
Once you know your interval, a recurring booking removes the problem entirely. Most of our regular residential customers moved to a schedule after running dry once, and adjust it seasonally rather than reordering each time.
