FAQ

Tanker Size Questions

What tanker sizes are available?

Multiple capacities are available depending on the water type, quantity and requirement, from small residential top-ups through to project-scale bulk supply.

How do I know which size I need?

Send your tank capacity, pool dimensions or site requirement on WhatsApp and we will recommend a suitable tanker size.

Can I order a partial load?

Yes. Partial loads are available where you only need to top a tank up rather than fill it completely.

Can you send more than one tanker?

Yes. Multiple loads can be scheduled back to back for pools, sites and bulk requirements.

Does capacity affect price?

Yes. Pricing depends on water type, capacity, quantity and timing. We confirm the price before dispatch.

Sizing Guide

Working Out Which Tanker You Need

Two calculations and one practical constraint cover almost every sizing decision.

Measuring a storage tank

For a rectangular tank, multiply length × width × depth in metres, then multiply the result by roughly 220 to get approximate gallons. A tank 3m × 2m × 1.5m holds around 1,980 gallons.

If the tank is partly full, you only need the shortfall — not the full capacity. Estimating how far down the level has dropped is usually close enough for us to send the right load.

Estimating a pool

Same formula, but use average depth rather than maximum depth if the floor slopes. A pool 8m × 4m at 1.5m average depth is around 10,500 gallons — one larger tanker or two mid-size loads.

Send the dimensions on WhatsApp and we will confirm the number of loads before you commit to anything.

Why the biggest tanker is not always right

Capacity is only half the decision. The other half is whether a vehicle that size can actually reach your delivery point.

Narrow community roads, tight industrial yards, low gate clearances, parked cars and long hose runs all constrain which tanker we can send. A smaller vehicle making two trips is sometimes faster than a large one that cannot get close enough to discharge.

  • Width and turning space on the approach
  • Any height restriction at a gate or barrier
  • Distance from where the tanker parks to the tank inlet
  • Whether the inlet is below ground, at ground level or elevated

Partial loads and multiple trips

You do not have to buy a full tanker. Partial loads are available where you only need to bring a tank back up rather than fill it from empty.

For volumes beyond a single tanker — pools, sites, accommodation — loads are scheduled back to back so the job completes in one visit rather than spread across days.
