A community or hotel pool is not a villa pool with more water in it. The volumes change the logistics, and the scheduling becomes the harder part of the job.
Scale changes the problem
A 25m community pool at 1.5m average depth holds roughly 55,000–60,000 gallons.
That is six or more 10,000 gallon loads — a full day of scheduled deliveries, not an afternoon.

Working out the volume
| Pool | Avg depth | Approx. volume | 10,000 gal loads |
|---|---|---|---|
| 15m × 6m | 1.4m | ~27,700 gal | 3 |
| 20m × 8m | 1.5m | ~52,800 gal | 5–6 |
| 25m × 10m | 1.5m | ~82,500 gal | 8–9 |
Always confirm with actual dimensions rather than assuming a standard size.
Scheduling is the real work
Six or more loads means a sequence, not a single visit. Depending on distance to the filling point, that can be a full working day even with multiple vehicles running.
If the pool has to be ready for a specific date — a reopening, a handover, an event — book well ahead and confirm the sequence rather than assuming it can be compressed.
Access for repeated loads
A single delivery can tolerate awkward access. Six cannot — the inefficiency multiplies. Establish a clear standing position for the vehicle, a hose route that stays out of guest or resident circulation, and a contact who is present throughout.
For hotels, early morning is usually the workable window. Hospitality supply is covered here.

Scheduling around guests and residents
A commercial or community pool cannot be filled at whatever time suits the delivery. The pool is out of use during the fill and the balancing that follows, and the people affected are guests or residents rather than a single household.
Practically, that means filling outside peak use — overnight or early morning for a hotel, weekdays rather than weekends for a community pool — and giving notice before the pool closes rather than after.
Allow for the balancing period as well as the fill. A pool that is physically full is not a pool that is ready to swim in, and reopening before the chemistry is right is worse than a longer closure.
Managing a multi-load fill
Commercial pools take several loads, so the fill is a sequence and the scheduling is the difficult part.
Book the total volume as one job rather than ordering load by load. Planned together, the vehicles are allocated as a sequence; ordered individually, each competes with everyone else’s requests and the gaps between loads stretch.
One person on site for the whole sequence
The commonest delay on a multi-load fill is a later vehicle arriving to find the access closed because whoever admitted the first one has finished their shift. Nominate a contact and a backup.
Have the circulation plant ready to run as soon as there is enough water to circulate, so treatment starts during the fill rather than after it.
Frequently asked questions
How many tankers fill a community pool?
A 20m by 8m pool holds roughly 52,000 gallons, which is five to six 10,000 gallon loads.
How long does it take to fill a large pool?
Usually a full day of scheduled deliveries, depending on distance to the filling point and how many vehicles run.
Can you fill a hotel pool outside guest hours?
Yes, and early morning is usually the workable window for hospitality venues.
What water is used for community pools?
Sweet water. TSE is prohibited for swimming under UAE rules regardless of pool size.
Should we book large pool fills in advance?
Yes. Multi-load fills need a scheduled sequence and cannot reliably be compressed at short notice.
When should a hotel or community pool be filled?
Outside peak use — overnight or early morning for hotels, weekdays for community pools — with notice given before closure, and time allowed for balancing after the fill.
How are multiple tanker loads coordinated for a large pool?
Book the total volume as a single job so the loads are allocated as a sequence, and nominate one site contact plus a backup to cover the whole fill.
